Mother’s Day is on Sunday! This is probably the first Mother’s Day in maybe forever that I haven’t put off shopping until the last minute. But… that’s because I’m stuck at home. With nothing else to do. So, I’m not sure that I really get to brag about that. But I know that some of you are like I usually am, and you are currently scrambling to find something to order for the day. I’m talking to you dads!! The ones who usually count on your kids bringing home homemade gifts from school–not this year. So, if you are scrambling for a last-minute gift, I am here to help.
Now, I’ll be honest, I am not a fan of sending flowers for any holiday. I know that’s a pretty popular gift for Mother’s Day, but flowers fade so quickly, and I like to get people gifts that last. I have a lot of incredible mom’s in my life that I needed to get gifts for. I have my mom, my grandma, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my husband’s grandma. They all have very different tastes in everything, so I stuck with what I know this year. I decided on jewelry. I know they all love jewelry, and even though they have different taste, I ordered everything from one place. It was simple, and now they’ll have something ethically produced that’ll last a lifetime.
I thought about writing a gift-guide that encompassed all different kinds of gifts, but it got a little messy. There are so many options out there, and if you’re like me and you have a lot of people to shop for, sorting through a long gift guide gets a little tedious. I just had a conversation with my sister-in-law about how difficult it is to shop for other people with different tastes, and that combined with the hours I spent sorting through bloggers gift guides, trying to find the right gifts for five very different people, inspired this blog. So here is the simplest gift guide for all the rockin’ mommas in your life.
- For the mom who loves sentimental gifts–
Get something engraved! Put the initials of her kids or grandkids on the piece of jewelry you buy. My personal favorite options for engraving are necklaces or bracelets. If you are getting something for your kids to give to their mom, consider letting them pick out something to engrave. That’ll make it even more special. Engraving is a great option for the sentimental mom. This way they’ll have a beautiful piece of jewelry that’ll last a lifetime, and they’ll always have a reminder of the people they love.
- For the mom who loves simple jewelry–
I love simple jewelry, so I could give a lot of suggestions for this category, but my two absolute favorite simple pieces of jewelry are diamond stud earrings and dainty necklaces. They are timeless, simple pieces, that can be worn with almost any outfit.
- For the mom who loves to make a statement–
Dangle, teardrop, or statement earrings are the perfect gift options for the mom who loves to make a statement. If she doesn’t have her ears pierced, statement necklaces are another great option.
- For the mom who doesn’t wear a lot of jewelry–
I refer back to simple jewelry for this. A dainty bracelet, necklace, or simple pair of stud earrings is the way to go. Something that she can wear every day, that is simple yet beautiful.
- For the mom who loves colorful accessories–
Enamel jewelry is the way to go! We have some incredible options on our website. Jewelry with enamel accents is so fun and is the perfect gift for the mom who loves a lot of color in her life.
Now, get to shopping!! The wonderful mommas in your life deserve something beautiful this Mother’s Day. ECOMARK® has plenty of ethical, and beautiful options. The best thing to pair with any of our jewelry? A handmade card from kids or grandkids. Google has plenty of ideas and print-outs to help with homemade cards. With that, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes about Mother’s Day.
“To the world, you are a mother, but to your family, you are the world.”
